Josh is not feeling so good today. His throat is sore and he can’t clear it. It is blocked at the back of his throat and he feels he can’t swallow well. He’s not feeling hungry and feels a bit low. The registrar said that it is not uncommon to feel this way and because of the tubes going down his throat there has been a bit of rubbing on the inside his throat.
Jason came to do Josh’s physio and helped him cough a bit which made him feel a bit better. His lips are sore as well from breathing through them.
Mary phoned to ask after Josh. Both Blair and Josh spoke to her.
The physio was a bit concerned about Josh’s lungs so called in a consultant. The consultant thought the lungs didn’t sound too bad but had some x-rays taken anyway. His temp is still up and they wonder if he has an infection somewhere. He had some bloods taken and they took the line out of his neck.
Sandhya and Richie phoned and Kath B texted. Alex also phoned and sent her and her families best wishes. Emails were sent by Yvonne and Gavin, Shirley and Russell, Aileen, David and Gill, Martin and Hayley. Moira and Barrie phoned to ask after Josh, as did Adrian and Katie Brockie.
Josh has spent much of the afternoon/evening sleeping. Fortunately Lindsay, the noisy roomy, left. This evening, while sleeping, he slept talked including saying “I’m Ok at the moment thanks”
Later in the afternoon Josh had a wee wake spell and spent some time with family and then slept while they had tea. Later Jude took the girls for a walk and Blair sat with Josh. Adrian phoned and will come back Monday or Tuesday. Jude and the girls came in and said goodnight. Blair said Josh managed to scratch his own nose with a bit of assistance. He’s still not too hungry but has had plenty to drink and a bit of yoghurt.
Imogen sat with Josh for a while when he was sleeping and he said “no, he can stay, he’s got cool pants on”
Eve, Polly, Jude and Imogen went to Spencer Park in the afternoon and Eve and Polly went on the flying foxes and Blair sat with Josh.
