Ah the wonders of PXT phones! I've
just put in a film of josh's so I'll put some of those on when I get
the photos back n find a scanner that works! some of them aren't very good sorry
(damn cheap disposable cameras that only take good photos outside *sulk*). i've also included some
photos of burwood so u can get an idea of what kind of environment josh is in atm.
I'll leave you to feast
upon these, enjoy!
If you look at the one in the top left hand corner you can see
the scar on his neck where they went in to do the stabilising surgery on his
neck. He had 3 pair of hands working in that little hole, one even holdind
his throat (or his oesophagus if u want to be technical). Needless to
say he had a rather sore throat the next few days! They replaced the
broken vertebra in his neck with a bone graft from his hip (yep much to
josh's pleasure theres another scar there too) and then stabilised it all
by screwing a metal 'H plate' into the vertebra above and below
(so the top of it's screwed into C4 n the bottom into C6) it's easier to
understand if u see it. I'll see if the hospital will let me see the x ray
again so i can get a photo or scan it (i doubt they will but it's worth a shot)
if not i'll do a graphic representation of it for u.
