Swimmer stable after being injured at St Kilda Beach

A 19-year-old man injured after jumping through waves at St Kilda Beach
in Dunedin has been transferred to Burwood Hospital spinal unit in
Christchurch. A hospital spokeswoman said Josh Kennedy was in a stable
condition. It appeared Mr Kennedy hit the bottom when diving into the
waves. He was rescued by off-duty lifeguards.
